It's been quite sometime since I last posted, a lot has happened I suppose. On January 5th, my first E.P "... Through the Winter" was released online and at shows. Reception has been great, I've had a few blogs write about me and it feels wonderful.
Since August 2008, I was playing in a band with my brother and friends called History Books. We put out an EP along with a full length album. Did some shows around Minneapolis, had a good time. Had a lot of gear stolen, a long with some family stuff going on. Our personal lives and health have taken priority, so we disbanded. My brother Seth is still continuing under the name and is doing shows and is going to write some new tunes. Keep and ear out for that!
As for Little Yosemite, I'm about 8 songs into a full length. Like my last EP, all the songs grew from the little pee pods that they were. So by the end of this May, they should be in great form to be recorded. I'm going to try and be better about promotion and press, so a release in the Fall seems pretty realistic. I have the album art and title figured out, and will post on that sometime soon.
I've also been writing a number of instrumental/ambient songs. I don't know the future of them, but there's a possibility of playing with a band out of Portland.
Enough rambling. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
Cheers. -James

It's been a while...
Hey everybody, I forgot I had this thing. So here is a big update!

Recently I released a new Christmas EP called "When I'm Fast Asleep..."
There are 6 songs, all my takes and interpretations on some favorites.
You can buy it here, on 2 different formats.
If you can't purchase it, please spread the joy by listening to it here!
The release of "... Through the Winter" has been on hold.
I'm having troubles with the guy who is mixing and mastering it.
So for now the release is indefinite.
But on a lighter note, here is some fun stuff.
These are the options when it will be available...

They are available on 3 hand painted colours.
Black, Mixed, and Brown.
That's all for now, have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday!

Beginnings...
Hello there. Originally Little Yosemite was a name for a band featuring myself (James) my brother Seth, and our good friend Christopher White. We all didn't quite agree on the name so we changed it to History Books. We have a full length album coming out January 2010.
Because I liked Little Yosemite and it was special to me (the nickname for the small mountain community where I was born), I've adopted it, retiring Oh, Say Can You See.
That being said... My first release is coming out this Winter. Actions are being taken to make this switch very smooth.
That's all for now! Take care.
